From 1938 to 1945, Loket was occupied by Nazi Germany and administered as part of the Reichsgau Sudetenland. In 1945, the German populace was expelled according to the Beneš decrees. Inside the late twentieth century, the castle underwent an entire reconstruction and was subsequently open to the public.In 1725 the castle was burned down and only t
